Alvin was born 1994 in Merced, California, and raised a few miles away in the small town of Winton. The youngest of 7 and son of two hard working Mexican immigrants, Alvin had grand aspirations to be a college graduate.
In 2017 his plan took a major turn when he was offered an apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop he would frequent for his own artwork. He spent almost a year learning the basics and fundamentals of tattooing before unfortunately being fired for unknown reasons.
Fortunately, soon after he found a tattoo shop that was willing to give him an opportunity to work as a part time tattoo artist. He spent a little over 2 years working alongside talented artists and improving upon his skills while simultaneously developing his own style of black and gray realism.
After a couple of years he found himself on the move relocating to Modesto, California, where he now works out of a private studio as an appointment only artists. He spends his time creating black and grey pieces like the ones in his portfolio and specializes in black and grey only.
